Why do people ask for advice but they already have their mind made up?

I think a lot of people want to answer questions that no one is asking them. So they create ';questions'; that allow them to express themselves.Why do people ask for advice but they already have their mind made up?
They just want to validate the beliefs of those who believe the same thing as well as their own. To have followers, or at least people who agree with you, makes you powerful and egotistical. Tisk.Why do people ask for advice but they already have their mind made up?
They want confirmation for their decisions.
They ask for advice so that they have confirmation that the decision that they have already made is the right one.

simple, becuz they are unsure about things but depending on the person, he or she might or might not change their mind after hearing the advice

I just dont know maybe because we seek other peoples insight
people are unsure of themselves, and they need reassurance that they are right
They want to know that there are others that agree with them.
