Does anyone else get p/o when people give advice on here ????

what im talking about is that ive noticed people giving advice when they know nothing about the subject...and they think they do...some people need to research what they r answering before they post it because ive noticed alot of REALLY incorrect answers and i really hope the ones asking the questions are not litsening to them...i only answer something that i know, i know what im talking about...just had to get that out...thx for listening...Does anyone else get p/o when people give advice on here ????

Different people use this thing in different ways. And individual persons answer differently from time to time.





It does not really p/o me off. The nature of this whole thing is you are throwing out questions to the world. You might get some good ones--but god knows you will get some responses from some people who just know they are really funny. Of course, the worst, as you mention, are from the know it alls--who are really quite ignorant.





But, like I said, it is the nature of the forum. Just ignore that kind of stuff in questions where you are looking for a serious response.

yea, i know what u mean. and i hate those people that answer questions just to get 2 points. like i ask something and they're like ';i don't know'; and im just thinking ';well if you don't know, don't ******* answer.'; instead of giving incorrect info..just don't answer. i'm sure you'll find another question to answer that you know something about..there are TONS AND TONS of subjects on here...im sure you can find one you can answer. and u have to put urself in the questioner's shoes..wouldn't u want correct information? i think so..but overall everyone here is cool.

In the multitude of counselors there in safety. Some answers will be right and some will be wrong-- that's life. Nearly everyone on here is reaching out and TRYING to make a difference, and having some fun while doing it. . But thanks for taking the moral high ground, and letting us know you are so much better than the rest of us. Best of luck finding your way in this imperfect world.
yeah i do that too, i tell them that its an opinion if it is that though.
I don't get po'd, I just think it's a waste of space and ppl dont have anything better to do than try to make someone elses life like theirs by suggesting stuff that they know d*** well aint gonna help the situation. Ya know, ppl just dont have anything else better to do!

Some things have no definite answer.
Well there are alot reasons why they answer wrong.First they dont want to read all the long questions because it is not interest them or they are too lazy.Second they just want to get the points so they just say some random things.Third they just want to piss you off or messing around lol....Fourth they really want to help but they also dont know the right answer so they just give it to you and hope it helps a little..
I get upset about that and people who don't use proper punctuation.
well when asking the public something you have to expect stupid people... because they do exist... if you don't wanna run the risk of hearing the stupidity of the human race then this is probably not the place to be....

if you really wanted true and correct answers - why would you go to a website where most people seem to just answer questions in the most half a s s ed way. I think you shouldn't get pissed off by stupid stuff

Alot of people say or type anything. It doesn't matter if it makes sense or not, their just going after the points that are really worthless.
I don't, you go into this knowing you are going to get peoples thoughts. If you are looking for the right answer all the time do the research yourselve the hard way. Otherwise sift throught the answers you get here and deal with it!
On that same note, the persons asking questions can do the same research as the people answering these questions. Some of the questions I cannot even see why someone didnt take the five minutes to look online, where you can find answers to just about everything under the sun.


People ask questions because they are looking for opinions of others, therefore I cannot see why anyone would get upset, unless they get the answer they didnt want to hear. Make sense?
I definitely believe you are right! Depending on the question and the answer given someone could get really hurt or very sick!
Yeah I get P/O'd, because some people answer ';I don't know';. That is not an answer.





If you know about the subject, by all means, give us your knowledge or opinion.





I think the problem is that there are some yahoo users that think this is a chat room.
You need to calm down and read the bible... lol I don't think that people do it on purpose I get more upset at stupid questions than stupid answers. The difference? With a Stupid question there is no way to give an intelligent answer. With a stupid answer that was just someone who decided to be dumb.
um...isnt yahoo! answers all about that ....ppl make mistakes nd learn 4rm them!!! srry 2 say but we're not perfect and alotta ppl like 2 guess!!! gosh...
I'm the same way!! I will do research if I think the question is good and people aren't giving decent answers.


I've had a few questions and no one has given me real answers and it's very frustrating!!


I also get very angry when a student asks a question on here instead of doing the research themselves.


I usually research my question first before putting it on here, sometimes I don't have the time though and know this will be fast but then when I do have time I research it myself.


Or if I'm pretty sure I know what to do for something but I'm not completely sure I will ask or state that in my answer that it may be a little off.

Yes some people say things for the sake of it rather than give proper answers.I try to avoid questions I am not qualified to answer.
It's annoying but what can we do? I wish people would at least preface it by ';I'm not absolutely sure, but....';. I would hope people with extremely important questions would see a professional or at least look on the Internet for themselves instead of asking people here. By the way, it's even worse when the WRONG answer is chosen as the best one!
I think people who ask advice have to realise that the advice given isn't always going to be correct. To do otherwise would be silly. I've found personally that people on Yahoo Answers are really nice and eager to help, they are just giving their opinion. It shouldn't be seen as professional help.
Well, my advice to you would be that maybe YOU are the one who knows nothing on the subject. Being a master of all categories, I find that the ones that complain the most are the most ignorant. You are not worthy of any correct answers, but I will give you this one. Your welcome.
