ok this morning my kitten sorta (11months old) had her kittens and i woke up to check on her and her brother and i was groggy and i saw her brother playing with something i thought i was just a mice toy but as i get closer i saw it was a newborn kitten i took it away from him it was dead so i put it in a baggy in the freezer. so i go into panic mode to find her and i couldn't for ten minutes around my house then i go back and find her brother playing with another kitten its fate was the same as the first one. so i guessed she was hiding in the room her bro was in i looked and found her hiding in a cat tower thats old and somewhat enclosed but not enough for her bro to get in there and get the kittens. well she had 3 two died instantly and one was alive with her so locked her up alone in the room while i went so school her bro was in the house but not in that room well my brother stays home and i told him not to open the door but he did anyway and he didnt close it properly so lil mommas last kitten died by the paws of her brother once again i was soo upset when i found out(i blame my brother for that kittens death) so i dug a grave for all of them it was soo sad D; what about her milk? will it dry out? or does it have to be like sucked out in a surgery by a vet? will it be painful to her to not have kittens drinking her milk? About how many weeks will it be until i can have her fixed or can i get her fixed right now?My Cats milk? please need advice for people who had peg cats?
The milk will slowly reabsorb into her body. She'll go around the house looking for her kittens and crying for awhile, too.
Get her spayed ASAP, or she'll go back into heat again SOON. Without the kittens to feed, her heat cycle will reappear early, and she'll get pregnant again. You didn't say if the male cat (brother) was the father of the kittens, but if he was.....they could have been too sickly to live anyway. NOT EXCUSING YOUR BROTHER.......but, NEVER TRUST SOMEONE ELSE to keep your kittens safe.
By having her spayed ASAP, you won't have to go through this ';trauma'; again, and your cat will live a healthier life. Spayed cats have a lower risk of developing CANCER of the uterus and mammary ( breast ) glands in the future.
Sorry about the kittens........don't let her have any more. The male cat AND YOUR BROTHER can't be trusted to leave them alone...and you don't want her to have to suffer through this again, do you?
So, PLEASE get her spayed SOON.
Good luck...........My Cats milk? please need advice for people who had peg cats?
you can get her spayed now and not have to worry about the milk problem. Usually the milk will dry up by itself if it is not being used. The problem is if it does not dry up, you may need to use hot packs on her. Do only what the vet recommends.
it is going to hurt and she''ll be acting weird durinf the night. Keep ur male cataway after 1 week. Because the female cat will become revengful and will get over it in 1 week again(they forget easily)
Let me tell you WHY the male cat did this, okay?
He killed the kittens simply because they were not his own. The female mother cat probably had hidden because she wasn't old enough and her mothering instincts probably hadn't kicked in. After the kittens are gone, the mother cat will then go in heat again giving her brother the chance to mate with him. In the animal kingdom there is no brother and sister. It's more like this: ';Oh! You're a girl!!! Hey, let's have sex!';
Anyway, about her milk. It will hurt yes... but it will go away. Her breasts where the milk is stored will be tender for a while but it is normal. No you do not need to contact a vet. I have two cats. Sisters. They both had kittens. Beatrice (My cat) lost both of her litters. Sophia (Mom's cat) Lost one litter but had another. (I LOVE THEM BOTH!!! :D) Beatrice was like a second mother to them because her mothering instincts were still active. She had milk so both cats nursed the kittens. Once Beatrice got fixed, though... She... told the kittens to back off... She still had milk but it eventually dried out.
Long story short: You don't need to take her to a vet. It'll go away naturally like it would if she was in the wild. But her breast will be really tender... watch how you pick her up.
