Trusting online people...need advice?

How do you trust an online acquaitance that wants to meet you in person? I just found it creeppy that this guy who responded to my ad wantd to take me out to the movies. He said he would drive me there, since my car is being repaired.Trusting online people...need advice?
Avoid things like that.

Talk to them for a while, use MSN or Skype Voice and Video Calls, get their full names and phone numbers.

And after all that, choose a public place, like the mall, and bring a friend for the first time you meet. Don't accept a lift home.

Act safe until you get to know them well, and are sure about the information you have about them.

I wouldn't call it creepy, but I wouldn't trust it either. Many people are no different online than in person, but you have to keep your safety in mind. Even if say you met a person live [not from online, but say in a store...] you can't just accept everything they say as truth, or act as if they are a saint and would never harm you.

Going to a movie is relatively safe. Going in the car of a person whom you do not know...asking for potential trouble. If it were me, I would wait until your car was repaired, then suggest we meet at the theater separate. Enjoy the film, then decide what to do from there, but still respect and EXPECT you to go on your own to any further destination we choose, because that is smart and safe for you and for me.

I say decline, and see what he says later. But at no point in the beginning, would I meet privately in any situation, always in public at decent hours.
That is creepy! I don't trust no one even me.... lol

but seriously there are so many creeps out there and then you got this narks pretending to be something they are not. I had a fiend that was married for 18 years and a nark got into his computer and started soliciting him after a few months of cogitation him, he gave in. I told find out who she was first, get her help go with your pastor. he did not listen now his in jail and his wife left him lost everything but again there have been some that have turn out to be angles but again I tell you this don't trust no one even on line you never know.
Under no circumstances do you ever meet a person from the internet without a friend with you. You can put a little trust into a person online, but you should never be so bold as to go out without a companion there to ensure that you don't get harmed.
Don't do it!

Or, if you choose to, meet in a group setting.. Never be alone with him.
hes a pedo

don't trust him

:)
don't go sounds creppy
