why is it that when a problem is serious, people often do not follow the advice given?

In my experience most people already have the solution in their minds when they ask for your advice. They are simply asking for you to agree with them. that is why I tell them two answers or more and let them choose so I can at least feel I told them the right answer. I know they will choose the one that fits who they are any how. why is it that when a problem is serious, people often do not follow the advice given?
because people are confusing if they aren't confuse they wouldn't have serious problem they will know how to lessen the problems why is it that when a problem is serious, people often do not follow the advice given?
advice and help are 2 different things.





to be honest, i don't want either from the majority of you.
Thats because peopel are stubborn and want to think they always know whats really right for them.
people like to learn from their own mistakes than listen to others who have been thru it
